For the very first time, we are offering a unique retreat led by two extraordinary teachers, Eyal Shifroni and Suresh Kpl. This unique retreat combines two closely guarded ancient Indian Marma and ancient tantra healing techniques. The Ayurveda Aattathirummu treatment plan weaved together with Mahabhootha Sudhikriya (chakra cleansing), therapeutic yoga and ayurvedic meals strengthens your nervous system, heals and clears deep rooted trauma to release physical, emotional, mental and spiritual blockages bringing transformational healing on several, deep layers.

Eyal Shifroni is a senior level world renowned Iyengar yoga teacher. Eyal has written and published 8 books on his style of Iyengar Yoga. He is well known for his studies on using the chair as a useful prop for the Practice, giving people of all abilities the opportunity to experience and to deepen their knowledge in Iyengar Yoga. Eyal will be leading the evening sessions on the Retreat, which could include restorative yoga, Pranayama and meditation.

Suresh Kpl is known as a Guru in Kalaripayattu (ancient martial art of Kerala), Mahabhootha Sudhikriya (chakra cleansing) and in developing the Aattathirummu (ancient ayurvedic healing massage) treatment programme. He has trained his senior most therapists in Aattathirummu, which is a specialised ayurvedic healing massage treatment programme you will not experience anywhere else in the world.

The aim is to cleanse the psychic body and mind of physical and emotional impurities, so you leave feeling clearer, healthier, reenergised and free of all the stress that you arrived carrying with you.

Organised Retreat FAQs

Which airport do I arrive and how long is the drive to Mantra Koodam? Can I visit Pondicherry before or after the retreat?

Arrive Chennai airport on 10th August and you have two options. You can either be driven five and a half hours to Mantra Koodam or you can take a short flight to Trichi, from where you will be driven for an hour to Mantra Koodam. You will be transferred to the airport on 24th August to catch your flight back home. You have the option of spending the night in Chennai (cost will be extra) on 24th and flying back on 25th April as well. You have the option of spending a few nights in Pondicherry which is only a two and a half hour drive from Chennai airport. Your accommodation can be organised and the drive to Mantra is only three hours from Pondicherry.

Is the retreat cuisine vegetarian?

Yes, the food at Mantra is vegetarian. The food is fresh, organic and nutritious. It is locally sourced from the neighbouring farms and the chef at Mantra is excellent.

What clothes do I pack for the retreat?

You will be given two pairs of organic cotton pyjamas to wear each day. The idea is that you leave your world behind for these two weeks. Everyone in the group will be wearing the same uniform.

Do i have to pay any extras on the retreat?

The cost of the retreat is all inclusive. The exclusions are laundry, any medicines you might want to buy to take back home at the end of the retreat, tips and gratuities, any extra excursions.
